VISITING & BOOKINGS
We're at 433 Bawden Road, Woodend, Victoria, about an hour's drive from Melbourne's CBD and roughly 30 to 40 minutes from Melbourne Airport, making us an easy day trip, weekend escape, or stop for interstate and overseas guests. Please note the final approach includes about 5 minutes of gravel road before reaching our car park.
Our vines have been growing on this site since 1989, when the first vineyard was planted. Mount Macedon Winery as it operates today, as a restaurant, cellar door, and wedding and events venue, has been run since 2016 under current owners Dylan and Elisha Grimes.
We'd always recommend booking ahead, particularly for wine tasting, our restaurants, and weekends, to make sure we can give you the table or experience you're after. Walk-ins are welcome when we have availability.
Reservations for lunch, dinner, wine tasting or an event enquiry can all be made through the booking page on our website, or by calling our team directly.
The UUMM Restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and Friday and Saturday for dinner. The Cellar Door Restaurant is open Friday to Sunday for lunch from 11am. As we're a multipurpose venue often booked for weddings and private functions, opening hours can occasionally vary, so we'd recommend checking our Google Business Profile for the most current hours.
Our standard hours are Wednesday to Sunday for lunch from 11am, with dinner Friday and Saturday from 5pm. As hours can vary from time to time, particularly around public holidays, we'd recommend checking our Google Business Profile before you visit.
The Cellar Door Restaurant offers an a la carte modern Australian menu with optional wine pairing, open Friday to Sunday for lunch. UUMM is our more casual, wood-fired pizza restaurant with seasonal tapas-style starters to share, open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and Friday and Saturday for dinner.
The closest train station is Woodend, however Mount Macedon Winery isn't within walking distance and the weather can turn quickly in the Macedon Ranges, so we'd recommend arranging a private transfer in advance, Kim & Co are a locally referred driving service. Buses can also access our venue, with a large car park and turning circle onsite.
Yes, we have on-site parking available for visitors, wedding guests and event attendees, including a large car park with a turning circle for buses.

No, there's no dress code at either restaurant, just come as you are and enjoy.
Yes, our popular Friday long lunches feature seasonal dishes overlooking the vineyard, think hand-made arancini and wood-fired pizza at UUMM, or a delicious dessert and cheese board at the Cellar Door.
Yes, we run special set menus for occasions throughout the year, such as Mother's Day. Details for each occasion menu are updated on our website and social media closer to the date, so keep an eye out or get in touch to see what's currently on offer.
We're always happy to help where we can with dietary requirements and allergies if we're notified at the time of booking. As our kitchen handles a range of allergens across the menu, we can't guarantee any dish is completely allergen-free, but we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Yes, our menus typically include vegetarian options, with vegan-friendly dishes also available on request, just let us know when booking.
Yes. At UUMM Restaurant, group dining for parties of 8 to 29 guests ranges from $45 to $65 per person depending on the menu, with a $25 kids' menu available. At Cellar Door Restaurant, groups of 8 to 11 guests dine from a 2-course set menu at $69 per person, and groups of 12 to 29 guests move to a 3-course set menu at $89 per person. Bookings of 30 guests or more require exclusive venue hire rather than a standard group booking.
Yes. For groups of 8 or more, a kids' menu is available, $25 at UUMM Restaurant or $45 at the Cellar Door Restaurant. A la carte children's meals at the Cellar Door are $35 per child.
Yes, you're welcome to bring your own cake for a $5 per person BYO fee, or opt for one of our lovely desserts from the menu instead.

Yes, a surcharge applies on Sundays and public holidays.
Dogs are welcome on our outdoor covered deck at UUMM Restaurant. As the Cellar Door Restaurant is a more intimate dining setting, dogs aren't able to join you there.
WINE TASTING & WINE
Yes. Self-guided wine tasting is available for $18 per person with your reservation at UUMM Restaurant, or for something more premium, our private Wine Den tasting experience can be booked online from $49 per person.
We grow our chardonnay, pinot noir and sparkling grapes right here on our cool-climate estate. The wine itself is made offsite before being returned to us bottled, ready for you to enjoy.
Yes, wine can be purchased online for delivery Australia-wide for a $25 flat fee, or picked up for free from Mount Macedon Winery.

Our spaces can accommodate up to 170 guests across a mix of indoor and outdoor areas, ideal for everything from intimate ceremonies to larger receptions and celebrations, with multiple ceremony locations from garden to barn or indoors.
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome as part of your wedding ceremony.
No need to worry about the weather. Mount Macedon Winery offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception options, including our rustic barn and the Cellar Door, so your day goes ahead beautifully whatever the forecast.
Yes, with our local knowledge we can help point you toward trusted suppliers, including photographers, florists, hairdressers and cake specialists, to help bring your day together.
We host weddings of all sizes with packages to suit all needs. You can enquire through our website and instantly book a site inspection in person or virtually, or request to speak with our team directly to arrange a time that suits.
To secure a wedding or event date, a deposit is required. Our team will send an invoice, and once this is paid, your date is confirmed.

From milestone birthdays and engagement parties to corporate functions and end-of-year celebrations, our private event spaces are set up to flex around groups of all sizes, with shared feast or set menu catering paired with our own estate-grown wine.
We offer four spaces to suit different group sizes: the Wine Den for intimate private dining (up to 12 seated), the UUMM Grape Room for semi-private celebrations (up to 60 seated, 70 cocktail), exclusive hire of Cellar Door Restaurant (up to 60 seated, 80 cocktail), and exclusive hire of UUMM Restaurant for larger events (up to 120 seated, 160 cocktail).
Packages include your choice of shared feast, individually plated or cocktail-style menu, plus a beverage package, with pricing varying by space, guest numbers and day of the week. To check availability and receive a tailored package by email, simply send through your preferred date, event type, estimated guest numbers, preferred space (if known), and whether you'd like a seated or cocktail-style format via our enquiry form.
Yes, for larger groups we offer exclusive hire of our spaces, from Cellar Door Restaurant and the UUMM Grape Room through to full exclusive hire of UUMM Restaurant for up to 120 guests seated (160 cocktail-style). Yes, our Wine Den offers intimate private dining for up to 12 guests seated (15 cocktail), perfect for a birthday, pre-wedding event, anniversary, executive lunch, meeting or other milestone gathering, over a 3-hour duration.
Yes, our Wine Den is well suited to executive lunches, meetings and workshops for up to 12 guests. For larger corporate gatherings, our Grape Room, Cellar Door Restaurant and UUMM Restaurant can also be hired exclusively depending on your group size, catering from 2 up to 120 guests.
Yes, our Cellar Door offers a peaceful setting for wakes, memorials and Celebration of Life gatherings, hosted Monday to Thursday with care taken to prepare a thoughtful space for reflection and remembrance. Enquiries are welcome through our website.
Simply send through an enquiry via our website with your preferred date or month, event type, estimated guest numbers, preferred space (if known), and seated or cocktail-style format. We'll recommend the best space for your event and send you our full function package information by email. Once your date and space are confirmed, we'll send through a booking form and deposit invoice, your event is secured once this is paid.
ACCOMMODATION & RETREATS
Yes, we offer onsite accommodation across our Homestead (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) and Garden Suite (1 bedroom), both available to book instantly through our website, a great base for a retreat, a wedding weekend, or simply an overnight escape.
Unfortunately dogs aren't able to stay in our onsite accommodation.
Yes, our 80 acre estate is just five minutes from Woodend, with the Homestead and Garden Suite offering onsite accommodation for up to 10 adults, plus a day-use option if you don't need to stay overnight. The Wine Den also works well as a private space for day workshops, alongside the Cellar Door, UUMM Restaurant, a rustic barn and outdoor picnic areas.
ON THE PROPERTY
Beyond our wine, food and events, you can enjoy our Highland cows grazing amongst the natural landscape, with nearby hiking trails where you might spot wombats or wallabies too.
Yes, alongside weddings and events, we host photoshoots, product launches and retreats, corporate or leisure. Our property is versatile and beautifully set up for a range of nature-led, restorative experiences.
