The principle grape varieties in the Macedon Ranges are Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon and Gewurztraminer and in the reds, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz.  The Mount Macedon Winery is especially noted for its Sparkling White Wine, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The Macedon Ranges are considered to be one of the coolest wine regions on mainland Australia.  We use minimal pesticides and carefully assessed the site selection and grape variety which are critical for success. The soils vary from deep loam to sandy granite based loams and old volcanic rock.

Everyone's Favorite!  Semi sweet at the start but finishes like a light Pinot Noir.

Stylized around the "blush" wines of America, this wine has a retro feel and contemporary taste. Food style can be from Mexican to Thai, Cajun cuisine to the creamy seafood dishes from Japan. One of the unique traits of a "blush "is that it can be served ice cold.

What is the difference between Blush & Rose? Traditionally the term "rose " denotes a light red wine that is dry whereas "blush" is not fermented dry and carries some residual sweetness.
